Fundraiser: Coastal Paintings

Collaboration between Leigh Cohn and Two SD North County Nonprofits

These paintings by Leigh Cohn are being offered with 100% of the proceeds going to the Surfing Madonna Oceans Project, an Encinitas, CA based (nonreligious) nonprofit that promotes environmental conservation, public art, and hosts Surf Camps and art experiences for special needs kids. This sale is in collaboration with the Front Porch Gallery in Carlsbad, CA, a nonprofit community arts resource.

Leigh is a Carlsbad oil painter with more than 350 paintings in homes and offices nationwide. Twenty are included in park tours at the offices of Forever Balboa Park, and he has an iconic picture hanging outside the mayor's office in Carlsbad City Hall. In 2022, supporters of his artwork donated $13,617 to the Ocean Conservancy; and, he is a volunteer at the Carlsbad Senior Center, where he lectures and teaches painting classes on Impressionism.

Purchasing Instructions

If you'd like to purchase one of these paintings or have questions, contact Leigh Cohn. Upon confirmation of availability, he will ask you to directly pay the Surfing Madonna Oceans Project by check (1106 2nd St. #301, Encinitas, CA 92024) or Venmo (@SurfingMadonna) and will provide contact information for Mike Redman, president of SMOP for additional questions about payment options or the organization.

100% of the proceeds will go to the Surfing Madonna Oceans Project, (SMOP), a 501(c)3 nonprofit association. You will receive a receipt for this tax-deductible donation.

Mike has offered to deliver paintings anywhere in San Diego County. For other purchasers, Leigh will ship pictures via UPS at no additional charge (in the United States).

NOTE: All paintings are unframed, however "Scripps Beach North #1" is not intended to have a frame.
