Carlsbad, CA
In 1986, my wife, two young sons, and fledgling publishing company moved to the coastal community of Carlsbad, CA. We bought a house and expected to stay for one year, by which time I hoped to find a job somewhere and relocate again. Our first book, Bulimia: A Guide to Recovery, took off and we never left. Throughout the years, I've found plenty of inspiration nearby.
